Software konnte nur, was vorher jemand spezifiziert hatte.

Erstkunde Mittelstand, Demo Day, Anschlussfinanzierung.

«The advisory network at BFG gave us the confidence and guidance we needed to grow as founders.»
«I wholeheartedly recommend the accelerator program.»
Season 2 (Digital AI) startet Q4 2026. Season 3 (Physical AI) folgt Q2 2028.

Early-stage investments in applied AI, straight from the university. We find the teams through our network at the universities and give them access to our finance and industry network in the four-country region around Lake Constance: with more capital than most accelerator programmes, earlier than the large VCs, without incubation.
Why self-learning technology is unlike any general-purpose technology before it, what the "AI bubble" argument means for the application layer, and how we invest at the centre of Europe.
For AI founding teams focused on finance and industry: investment of up to €250k, a 6–9 month programme, the Mittelstand of the Lake Constance region as first customer and an investor circle from day one.

Self-learning systems are the first general-purpose technology that improves with use and whose costs fall in months rather than decades. The value is captured by companies that bring them into the real processes of industry and finance. That is exactly where we invest: straight from the universities at the centre of Europe, in pre-seed and seed, before the first institutional pricing. With more capital than most accelerator programmes and earlier than the large VCs, without incubation.
Each of them holds up in a deep dive. The sections below provide the evidence.
Capability comes from data and compute, not from specification. Systems get better in operation, and the cost per unit of intelligence falls by orders of magnitude, not by percentages.
Models become interchangeable. Margin and defensibility sit with whoever owns the customer, the process and proprietary data. That is applied AI.
We find applied-AI teams early through our network at ETH, HSG, LMU and the University of Liechtenstein and give them access to our finance and industry network in the four-country region around Lake Constance. Not an incubator, not a fund: an accelerator with tickets of up to €250k.
The steam engine, electricity, computers and the internet had one thing in common: they amplified human work, but every single capability had to be designed, built and programmed by people. Software could only do what someone had specified beforehand. Self-learning systems remove that limit. Six differences that matter to investors.
Generators existed from the 1880s. The measurable productivity gain only arrived in the 1920s, when factories were rebuilt around the electric motor (Paul David, 1990). The value was captured not by the power producers but by the companies that reorganised their processes. Applied AI is that reorganisation, this time in months rather than decades. That is why we invest in teams that rebuild the processes of industry and finance, not in power producers.
Possibly, at least in valuations at the infrastructure and model layers. For early-stage applied AI it changes little. Three reasons, and an honest answer to what a correction would mean for us.
Railway mania in the 1840s, electrification, the internet: each time capital ran ahead of the technology, each time prices corrected, and each time use of the technology kept growing afterwards. The Nasdaq lost around 78% between March 2000 and October 2002. The number of internet users rose in every one of those years. Amazon lost more than 90% of its market value and still became Amazon.
What remained was the infrastructure. The fibre overbuilt after 2000 made the next wave cheap; the big winners of the application layer were founded or scaled after the crash. A bubble changes who loses. It does not change that the technology stays.
Capital is concentrated in the infrastructure and model layers: the four largest hyperscalers are investing more than $700bn in AI infrastructure in 2026, and model providers are financed in mega-rounds at valuations that anticipate years of revenue. Whether every one of those dollars earns a return is an open question.
Our entry prices are not set on the Nasdaq. We invest tickets of up to €250k in pre-seed and seed companies with first customers from the Mittelstand, at prices set before the first institutional pricing. There are no mega-rounds there, no 40x revenue multiples and no cost of capital that forces a correction.
Overcapacity in the infrastructure layer is a problem for infrastructure investors and a gift for applications: it lowers the most important input of applied-AI companies. The price per answer has fallen by a factor of 280 since 2022, and models from different providers are interchangeable at comparable quality.
Every correction in the infrastructure layer makes our raw material cheaper. What an applied-AI company defends is not the model but access to the customer, the process and its own data. In a correction those three do not get cheaper; they get more valuable.
Lower follow-on valuations and longer financing cycles for our portfolio companies. Against that: 8–20 investments per season, a follow-on reserve, first-customer revenue instead of growth at any price, and entry prices that do not need to price in a correction first. Whoever enters before the pricing does not need a bubble to earn a return. They need companies that have customers.
The models are built. What is missing are the companies that bring them into the processes of industry and finance. The window in which those companies can still be had at early-stage prices closes with every quarter in which capital moves down the stack.
In 2025 around $211bn flowed into AI startups, roughly one in every two venture dollars worldwide and 85% more than in 2024 (Crunchbase). Early-stage access is becoming the scarcest good.
From software to industry to finance, AI-native products are replacing legacy stacks. Whoever binds the founders early owns the deal flow, and whoever owns the customer owns the margin.
Process knowledge, proprietary data and real problems that cost money. A founding team with a paying first customer from the Lake Constance region is more defensible than a model with a billion more parameters.
Leading research and strong industry meet fragmented early-stage financing. We close that gap, with a vehicle in Liechtenstein and a programme that brings talent, capital and first customer to one table.
Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Austria and Germany within the smallest of areas. The Rhine Valley combines EEA market access with proximity to Switzerland, leading research with industry, capital with short decision paths.
Investments and vehicle are set up in Liechtenstein; a later extension to a regulated fund is possible. Details depend on the vehicle structure; final design with tax advisers.
University of Liechtenstein: chair of entrepreneurship with a master's programme unique in Europe. HSG St. Gallen / START Global: top business university and founder community since 1996. LMU Munich: deep-tech ecosystem and AI research. ETH Zurich / AI Center: Europe's technology leader, including the Student Project House.
Globally active mid-sized and large companies of the Lake Constance region with a high degree of innovation that are looking for AI technology. They deliver the first revenue, the data and the process knowledge that applied AI needs.
The TVTG ("Blockchain Act") and short paths to the FMA make Liechtenstein a testbed for RegTech and AI compliance, also with a view to the EU AI Act.
Banks, business angel network and family offices: capital and decision-makers within a few square kilometres around Vaduz, with direct access to authorities, banks and politics.
Our startup programmes in Liechtenstein have been and continue to be supported by the European Union within the DiGiHub initiative: digihub.li is the European Digital Innovation Hub for Liechtenstein nominated by the EU. For the portfolio this means access to a European innovation network, not just a local one.
Focused season cohorts of 6–9 months per technology vertical, direct pre-seed and seed investments against equity, structured through Liechtenstein. Each season builds the network, brand and deal flow of the next.
Founding teams straight from the university pipeline, before the first institutional pricing. The investment committee decides on every investment; as early anchor investor the accelerator secures 5–10% equity.
Programme, mentors, regulatory access and first customers from the network: revenue from the first customer instead of growth on credit.
VCs and family offices for seed and series A rounds. The accelerator keeps the access and the follow-on reserve.
Family offices, business angels and VCs in the investor circle see vetted deals from the pipeline first.
Investing alongside the vehicle in individual portfolio companies, in the season round or in follow-on rounds.
Since 2021 our annual investor day has brought together more than 150 investors, family offices and founders. The Season 2 Demo Day takes place in Q2 2027 at the Investor Summit Liechtenstein. All events
Status, key figures and ask of every portfolio company, prepared quarterly and traceably.

Indicative figures; terms on request. Techfounders Group is not an investment fund but an accelerator. Not a public offer.
We invest earlier than the large VCs and with more capital than most accelerator programmes. We do not incubate: teams come straight from the university with a validated MVP, we bring capital, first customers and investors.
Investors take a stake in Tech Founders Group AG in Liechtenstein. The AG holds the investments and finances Tech Founders Group GmbH in Germany, which runs the accelerator programme and through which the startups are invested in.
Take a stake in the AG and receive priority access to vetted deals, co-investments and quarterly reporting.
Holds the investments. 12.5% flat tax, no capital or issuance duties, EEA access, regulatory proximity to the FMA. Supervised by the Board of Directors.
Runs Season 2: selection, programme, mentoring, investment committee and execution of the investments.
Investment of up to €250k for 5–10% equity. First customer from the Mittelstand, Demo Day, follow-on financing.
Early-stage investments are risky. Most investments in a portfolio do not carry the return; a few carry it disproportionately. Our model is built for that distribution.
A correction in the AI market depresses follow-on valuations. Against it: entry before institutional pricing, a follow-on reserve, no dependence on mega-rounds.
Models get better and cheaper; products that merely wrap a model lose their lead. Against it: we invest in customer, process and proprietary data, not in the model layer.
The EU AI Act, data protection and financial regulation change the requirements for AI products. Against it: a location with regulatory proximity to the FMA, compliance as part of the programme, first customers who know regulation.
Individual investments fail. Against it: 8–20 investments per season with tickets of up to €250k, a follow-on reserve and first-customer revenue as a selection criterion.
An accelerator is a relationship business; programme and pipeline have to work. Against it: Season 1 is complete: 50 investments, invested capital tripled; playbook, brand and mentor network are validated.
For AI founding teams focused on finance and industry from Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Austria and Germany: investment of up to €250k, a 6–9 month programme, the Mittelstand of the Lake Constance region as first customer and an investor circle from day one.
The core of our AI thesis: AI-native products that rebuild real processes in industry and finance. Not wrapping a model, but solving a problem that costs a customer money.
Technical founding teams with a commercial focus, pre-seed or seed, ideally from the orbit of the University of Liechtenstein, HSG, LMU or ETH. We do not incubate: you come with a team and a validated MVP, we bring capital, first customers and investors. Products for finance and industry: quoting, quality inspection, compliance, underwriting, maintenance and related processes.
Investment of up to €250k for equity, a 6–9 month programme with mentoring by founders and investors, access to regulators and authorities, and from day one a curated investor circle of family offices, business angels and VCs.
As early anchor investor, before the first institutional pricing, with 5–10% target equity. Valuation and terms are discussed individually based on traction, team and cap table. No fees, vehicle in Liechtenstein, follow-on reserve for the next round.
Innovative mid-sized and large companies of the Lake Constance region as first customer and sparring partner. You get process knowledge, data and revenue before you need a sales team.
Three steps to admission, four phases in the programme, one goal: a company with paying customers and a financed next round.
Submit pitch deck, team and product status by email. We review every application and reply within two weeks of the end of the application window.
If the project fits, we discuss the next steps and the fit with Season 2 in a call.
Deep dive with the general partners and mentors. Decision for 8–12 teams; the season starts in Q4 2026.
Customer discovery, market validation, sales strategy and KPIs with mentors and first customers from the Mittelstand.
Validate product demand, first-customer projects with the Mittelstand of the Lake Constance region, workshops on growth, PR and AI topics.
Fundraising plan, grant applications, compliance (EU AI Act, data protection) and pitch to the investment committee.
Pitch refinement with alumni feedback, Demo Day at the Investor Summit Liechtenstein, warm intros to VCs and family offices.
Support across all phases: expert workshops, one-on-one mentoring and town halls where founders share their experience. The investment committee decides on the investment after the pitch, at the beginning or during the season depending on the team's maturity; funds are usually disbursed within two weeks of approval.
Investment, programme and network come as one package. Membership of the founder network does not end with Demo Day.
Serial entrepreneurs, investors, lawyers for financial-market and AI regulation, and practitioners from industry and finance as mentors and sparring partners.
Productivity, tech and management tools from our partners, subject to partner terms.
First-customer projects with the Mittelstand of the Lake Constance region, investor sessions during the season and the Demo Day in front of family offices, business angels and VCs.
After the programme: continued mentoring, support with follow-on fundraising, intros to investors, partners, advisors and founders from more than 50 portfolio companies.

"The advisory network at BFG gave us the confidence and guidance we needed to grow as founders."
"I wholeheartedly recommend the accelerator program."
Short and without small print. Whatever is not covered here, we clarify in a call.
The second season of Techfounders Group, focused on digital AI: AI-native products for finance and industry. 8–12 teams, a 6–9 month programme, investment of up to €250k, start in Q4 2026.
Very early teams at pre-seed or seed, often looking for their first investor, with a strong digital-AI idea for a specific process in finance or industry.
A team is recommended. Solo founders can apply if the idea and early traction are very strong.
The focus is on the centre of Europe (Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Austria, Germany), because that is where first customers and investors are. Teams that want to build their market in the DACH region are welcome regardless of where they are based today.
The investment committee decides on the investment of up to €250k for equity after the pitch. Valuation and terms are discussed individually based on traction, team and cap table. Funds are usually disbursed within two weeks of approval.
Nothing. There are no fees; the equity stake is the consideration for capital, programme and network.
Alumni keep access to mentoring, support with follow-on fundraising and intros to investors, partners, advisors and other founders.
Applications are reviewed after the application window closes; feedback within two weeks. Selected teams receive an invitation to a call.
In Q4 2026. Applications are open now; the Demo Day takes place in Q2 2027 at the Investor Summit Liechtenstein.
Season 3 (physical AI: robotics, automation, infrastructure) starts in Q2 2028. Teams can already register their interest.
Four countries, one tech corridor: Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Austria and Germany within the smallest of areas. EEA market access with proximity to Switzerland, short paths to authorities, banks and capital.
The TVTG ("Blockchain Act") and short paths to the FMA: Liechtenstein is a testbed for RegTech and AI compliance. For a finance or industry product this means answers in weeks, not years.
Banks, Business Angel Network Liechtenstein and family offices around Vaduz, plus the Investor Summit Liechtenstein as an annual stage.
Direct access to authorities, banks and politics. Speed as a structural advantage over startups in larger markets.
Globally active mid-sized and large companies in the Rhine Valley and around Lake Constance that are looking for AI technology and act as first customers.
Our startup programmes in Liechtenstein have been and continue to be supported by the European Union within the DiGiHub initiative. digihub.li is the European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) for Liechtenstein nominated by the EU and part of the Europe-wide EDIH network.
A programme that is part of a European initiative for the digital transformation of SMEs and startups: with access to the digihub.li ecosystem in Liechtenstein, its innovation spaces, trainings and the network of European Digital Innovation Hubs.
In phase 3 of the programme we help with grant applications at EU, national and regional level. Non-dilutive funds complement the investment and extend the runway to the follow-on round.
The EDIH initiative brings SMEs and public administration together with digital solutions. For digital-AI products this means first customers who are already looking for AI applications, on short paths.
Four countries within the smallest of areas: at World of Opportunities 2025 in Vaduz, startups from several European countries pitched to investors from Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Austria and Germany.
European Digital Innovation Hubs are the European Union's initiative to anchor the digital transformation of companies and administrations regionally. digihub.li was nominated as the EDIH for Liechtenstein in 2023; Techfounders Group (formerly Blockchain Founders Group) has run startup programmes in Liechtenstein within this framework and continues to do so.
Season 1 proved the model. Season 2 (digital AI) starts in Q4 2026. Season 3 (physical AI) follows in Q2 2028.
50 investments, 28 of them active, invested capital tripled. Programme, mentor network and playbook are validated.
The core of the AI thesis: AI-native software for finance and industry. Deal flow via the University of Liechtenstein, HSG, LMU Munich and ETH Zurich.
AI in the physical world: robotics, automation and infrastructure as the next stage of the AI cycle, with the industrial know-how of the Rhine Valley as an advantage.
Techfounders Group is run operationally by two general partners. The Board of Directors of Tech Founders Group AG in Vaduz supervises the investment vehicle and holding. University partners secure access to founding teams and research right at the location.
Programme, vehicle, investor circle and deal flow: the general partners run the accelerator and take the investment decisions together with the mentors of each season.

Founder and CEO of Techfounders Group (formerly Blockchain Founders Group). Built Season 1 with eight cohorts and 50 investments and leads Season 2: programme, vehicle in Liechtenstein and investor circle.
Former telco and digital manager, serial entrepreneur, investor and innovator. Responsible for deal flow and co-investments, and the bridge to HSG, START Global and ETH Zurich.
The Board of Directors, chaired by Ulrich Spindler, supervises the investment vehicle and holding in Vaduz, Liechtenstein, and accompanies the strategic direction of Season 2 and Season 3.

Tech Founders Group GmbH runs the accelerator programme, supports the portfolio companies and prepares the quarterly reporting.

Responsible for operations, portfolio support and reporting; first point of contact for the portfolio companies.
Entrepreneurs, investors and lawyers who mentor the teams during the season and take part in the investment committee's decisions.
Deal flow starts where talent is trained: at the University of Liechtenstein right at the location, and at HSG St. Gallen, LMU Munich and ETH Zurich.

A master's programme in entrepreneurship unique in Europe. Access to founding teams and research right at the location.
Since 2021 we have brought investors, family offices and founders to one table once a year, first as the private investor gathering "Invest in the Future", since 2025 as Portfolio Day. Added to that are pitch events in Liechtenstein and the Demo Day of every season.
